Buttons is a doll! She is very small yet independent. Her coat changes from Blue to Silver depending on if she is carrying pups. It is Silver now but will be Steel Blue when I trim her. I guess it's hormones.
She tries to be the Alpha in the group of female Yorkies.

This little MALE has just been born and is still in his sac. (pictured on left) Buttons will carefully bite through this sac and sever the umbilical cord. She will lick him clean and he immediately crawls to her and starts to nurse. I usually suction out the mouth and nose to make sure there are no fluids in the lungs. He only weighs 88 grams or 3 ounces. Born at 11:30pm 4/29/09
